Install your way
Codex pets are currently supported on macOS and Windows.
The website and CLI read the same catalog, so command installs and manual downloads stay consistent.
1
Copy a command
Run npx petscodex install byte. The installer resolves the package by slug and places the pet files for you.
2
Download manually
Use a pet card download button to get a zip, inspect it, unzip it, and move the pet folder into your Codex pets directory.
3
Activate in Codex
After either method, open Codex desktop and select the pet in Settings > Appearance > Pets.
